The World Athletics Relays is an international track-and-field event where teams from around the world compete in relay races.
The 2021 edition will be held at the Silesian Stadium in the southern Polish city of Chorzów on May 1 and 2.

The host nation will be represented in all events making up the 2021 World Athletics Relays, including the 4x100m, 4x200m, 4x400m, 2x2x400m and shuttle hurdles relay, following an announcement this week by the Polish Athletic Association (PZLA).
Team Poland includes Jakub Krzewina, who was part of the Polish men's 4x400m team when it won gold and set a world indoor record at the 2018 World Athletics Indoor Championships in Birmingham.
Patryk Dobek, who claimed 800m gold at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Toruń, north-central Poland, last month, has been selected for the 4x400m and 2x2x400m, with European 800m silver medalist Joanna Jóźwik joining him in the 2x2x400m mixed relay event.
Ewa Swoboda, who won the 2019 European indoor 60m title, has been named for the 4x100m and 4x200m.

Other standout names on Team Poland include Małgorzata Hołub-Kowalik and Patrycja Wyciszkiewicz-Zawadzka, who formed part of the country's winning women's 4x400m team at the 2019 World Athletics Relays in Yokohama.
